Everyday Heroes – Drivers from Leading Plant Rental Company Go the Extra Mile

On 30 June 2025, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the M2 near Junction 6. Our driver Andrew was passing by and instinctively took action, using his highly visible lorry to shield the vehicles involved, helping to prevent further accidents.

A woman involved in the incident reached out afterwards to commend Andrew’s calm, professional response, describing his actions as “potentially life-saving.”

In a separate incident, Steve, also from our Strood Depot, was on his lunch break when he noticed a woman and her son stranded at the roadside on the A29 near Slindon. They had been waiting for hours in the heat.

Steve stopped, helped get their car started, and even used his own supply to top up their coolant. The family contacted us afterwards to say thank you, writing, “There are still good people in this world.”
